The ensemble frauenkirche has been the orchestra of the Frauenkirche (Dresden) since 2005 .

history

The "ensemble Frauenkirche" was founded in 2005 by Matthias Grünert . It is made up of musicians from Dresden's two large orchestras , the Saxon State Orchestra and the Dresden Philharmonic .

The ensemble sees itself as the musical accompanist of the large choir of the Frauenkirche Dresden , as well as the chamber choir of the Frauenkirche Dresden and as an independent ensemble.

The field of activity includes the organization of concerts and sacred Sunday music in the Frauenkirche and the performance of cantatas in the Sunday services. The ensemble can also be seen in guest performances.

Various radio and television broadcasts as well as CD recordings document the activities of the "ensemble Frauenkirche".
