The ensemble marketplace in Wolnzach , a market town in the Upper Bavarian district Pfaffenhofen , is an architectural ensemble , under monument stands.

history

Wolnzach is mentioned for the first time in 814 in a donation to the Hochstift Freising . The almost square area, the center of Wolnzach, is bordered in the south by the Catholic parish church of St. Laurentius , built in 1408 . The northern end is the town hall , which was originally built in 1878 as a hop and shredded hall.

The two architectural dominants of the square are framed by two to three-storey gable roof buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries, some of which are provided with tail gables , which reflect the arable character of the market town.
