repertoire

The repertoire of the choir covers all epochs of choral literature, from early music to romantic choral works to world premieres. A particular focus of the choir is on works of the 20th century, both classical modern and avant-garde and Scandinavian, Baltic and Hungarian contemporary music.

The programs of the Ensemble vocal are characterized by their coherence in terms of content, whereby the context of the works often consists in a relationship between the song texts.

Some of the choir's programs:

  • Bey nocturnal Weil - songs and lyrics on a summer evening
  • Expectation - choral music in Advent
  • In praise of the tear - ballads, moritats, petty songs
  • Invocation - Father, Son, Holy Spirit
  • Our nobody lives for himself - choral music at the end of the church year
  • Sing a new song to the Lord - Sacred Choral Music from Germany 1900–2000
  • Forest night - songs, romances, madrigals

Oratorio works are also developed at longer intervals , for example in 1997 “Canto General” by Mikis Theodorakis in collaboration with “Ohregano” from Lüneburg and in 1999 the “Requiem” by Michael Haydn . For the tenth anniversary of the choir in 2004, a program with “ Te Deum ” scoring by Arvo Pärt , Petr Eben , Henry Purcell and James MacMillan was performed.

Concert tours have taken the ensemble vocal to Sweden (concerts in Stockholm, Malmö and Helsingborg) and Belgium (concerts at the University of Witten / Herdecke as well as in Brussels and Turnhout ).
