Enzo Ruíz (born August 31, 1988 in Mercedes , Uruguay ) is a Uruguayan football player.
Career
society
Ruíz played in his youth at the club Juventud Soriano, which is based in his native Mercedes . At the age of 16, he joined Peñarol in Montevideo . There he went through the teams of the Quinta, Cuarta and Tercera División trained by "Beto" Acosta, Álvaro Regueira and Rosario Martínez and finally began his professional career . Ruíz made his debut under coach Gregorio Pérez in the 2-2 ending game against Defensor . After only a few completed games for the Montevideans, moved to Switzerland to the Grasshopper Club Zurich . There he played in the first team since the 2009/10 season. He made regular appearances in the Axpo Super League . After joining AC Bellinzona in 2011 , he was loaned to FC Luzern for a year for the 2012/2013 season. The loan agreement included an option to buy. Ruíz, who only played two games in Lucerne and could not convince, returned to Bellinzona in the current season in December 2012. There he then played 14 games (two goals). In the 2013/14 season, the Swiss awarded him to the Racing Club in Montevideo. For his new club, he completed twelve first division games and scored one goal. At the end of December 2013, he then moved to the Chilean club Deportes Concepción , for which he played 66 games in Primera B and scored three goals. He was also used six times (one goal) in the Copa Chile . In July 2016 he joined the Uruguayan first division promoted Villa Española . In the 2016 season he played in 14 top division games. He didn't score a goal. At the beginning of January 2017, he moved back to Chile after the decline of his employer. Since then he has been playing for CD San Marcos de Arica and has so far (as of March 2, 2017) completed three league games (no goal) for the club.
National team
In 2007 Enzo Ruíz took part as a supplementary player with the Uruguayan U-20 selection at the Junior World Cup alongside Luis Suárez , Edinson Cavani and Martín Cáceres , among others , and reached the second round there. Ruíz was only used in the first round game against Spain.
