Eoghan O'Dea (* 1984 or 1985 ) is a professional Irish poker player .

Personal

O'Dea lives in Dublin . He is the son of Donnacha O'Dea , who took part in the 1968 Summer Olympics as a swimmer and now earns his living as a professional poker player.

Poker career

O'Dea plays online under the nicknames DrRoche (GGPoker) , Tiltpaddy (Paddy Power) and intruder123 (TitanPoker) . Since 2005 he has been taking part in renowned live tournaments .

In late September 2005, O'Dea scored his first live cash placement at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Main Event in Palm Beach , Aruba . In June 2007 he was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and came in the money in a tournament of the Pot Limit Omaha variant . At the seventh edition of the Poker Million , the Irishman qualified for the final round, where he finished second in December 2008, worth 260,000 US dollars . In mid-October 2009 he finished second at the WPT Main Event in Marrakech and received more than 260,000 euros . At the 2011 WSOP , O'Dea reached the final table in the main event with the second-largest chip stack , which was played in November 2011. He and his father, who sat at the final table of the WSOP Main Event in May 1983 , became the first father-son duo to reach the final table of the World Poker Championship.
