Scientific activity

In addition to his professional activity, Oloff was a passionate bibliographer. He dealt with the history of the Thorner Reformation. A manuscript that was later lost dealt with the history of Polish printing. In 1727 the collection of German songs was translated into Polish . Oloff's greatest achievement was the scientific preparation of the Polish hymnology, which appeared after his death in Danzig in 1744 under the title Polish Song History of Polish Church Chants and the Same Poets and Translators .
