The epitaph for Philipp Senfft von Sulpurg († February 15, 1515 ) is located near the pulpit on the southern choir wall of the Augustine Church in Schwäbisch Gmünd .

Philipp Senfft von Sulpurg was a canon and scholastic from Herrieden . The dead man's mother had the epitaph made. The bas-relief made of Solnhofen limestone is 1.16 m high and 0.60 m wide. It shows the interpretation of the Bible passage John 20, 14-17 in the arched field above the scripture block, which is located at the lower edge . The risen Christ meets Mary Magdalene in a garden. Her ointment vessel is on the ground and she kneels before Christ with folded hands. He is wrapped in a cloak and has raised his right hand in blessing. In his left hand he holds the flag of the cross and a spade . Canon Philipp Senfft von Sulpurg kneels reverently below Maria Madgalena.
