Erald Dervishi (born November 10, 1979 in Durrës ) is an Albanian chess grandmaster .
Dervishi was in 1993 in Szombathely European Youth Champions U14, at the European Youth Championships U18 in Rimavská Sobota 1996 he was tied third, at the Youth World Championships U18 1997 in Yerevan he was fifth. At the age of 18 he was awarded the title of Grand Master by FIDE . Dervishi is his country's first title holder. He won the Albania championship in 1996 and 1997.
His most significant successes include tournament victories in Padua 2000, Genoa 2001, Durrës 2001, Padua 2005 as well as 2006 and Bratto 2006. Dervishi first took part in the 1994 Chess Olympiads for Albania in Moscow , where he achieved an excellent score of +5 = 5 −3. Since then he has represented his homeland at the Olympics from 1998 to 2006 , 2012 and 2014 , with his best result in Bled in 2002 when he achieved +6 = 5 −0. In 1998 in Elista he won the bronze medal for his individual result on the second board (+7 = 3 −2). His overall result for Albania at the Chess Olympiads is +44 = 34 −18. Dervishi also took part in the 2001 European Team Championship .
He took part in the European Club Cup 2006 with Obiettivo Risarcimento Padova and was registered for SK Leoben in the Austrian Bundesliga in the 2006/07 season , but was not used. In Germany he plays for Godesberger SK .
Dervishi leads the Albanian ranking in January 2015.

Devishi is a member of the Commission for World Championships and Olympics (WCO) at the World Chess Federation
