Ercüment Aslan (born June 7, 1976 in Ankara ) is a former Turkish boxer.
Career
Aslan took part in the Junior European Championships in Thessaloniki in 1993 , where he was eliminated in the light welterweight division in the first fight against the Georgian Saal Sebiskwiradze. For this he won the Junior World Championships in Istanbul the following year . He prevailed in the welterweight division against Michele Foglia, Italy, Sergei Rosanin, Belarus, Sergei Chruskian, Russia, Danijar Muneitbasow, Kazakhstan and Mulradis Rodriguez, Cuba.
In 1995 he started at the World Championships in Berlin and beat Nelson Morais, Portugal and Nurschan Smanow, Kazakhstan, before losing to Oleg Saitow , Russia, in the quarterfinals . At the European Championships in Vejle in 1996 , he lost in the preliminary round against Christian Bladt, Denmark.
In June 1997 he won the silver medal in the light middleweight division at the Mediterranean Games in Bari , and in October of the same year the bronze medal at the World Championships in Budapest . After victories against Roger Pettersson, Sweden, Tengis Dschaoschwili, Georgia and Mihály Kótai , Hungary, he was eliminated in the semifinals against Jermachan Ibraimow , Kazakhstan.
In 1998 he was still runner-up European light middleweight champion in Minsk after he had prevailed against Oleg Kudinow, Ukraine, Robert Gortat, Poland and Adrian Diaconu , Romania and only lost in the final against the French Frédéric Esther . In 1999 he took part in the World Championships in Houston , but lost in the round of 16 against Claudio Perugino, Italy.
From 2002 to 2007 he played ten professional fights in Australia, of which he was able to win eight. In the fight for the title of the Pan Asian Boxing Association (PABA), he lost by knockout in the first round against Zulfikar Joy Ali (balance: 23-4).
