Erhard Meister
Erhard Meister-Clemons (born April 17, 1948 - † May 13, 2013 ; resident in Merishausen ) was a Swiss politician ( SVP ).
biography
Meister studied agricultural engineering at ETH Zurich and obtained a master's and doctorate from Michigan State University (USA) . From 1977 he worked at the Federal Research Institute for Agroecology and Agriculture in Reckenholz, from 1989 as a member of the management. Master was 1985-1998 Mayor and Finance Officer of Merishausen. In 1999 he ran unsuccessfully for the National Council .
From January 1, 2001 to January 31, 2010, he was a member of the government of the Canton of Schaffhausen and head of the Department of Economic Affairs. In the August 2008 election, he was able to achieve the best result of the existing members. His successor in the government council was Ernst Landolt (SVP).
Master was married and lived in Merishausen. He died on May 13, 2013 of complications from a stroke.
