Erhard Werndl von Lehenstein

Erhard Werndl von Lehenstein (born January 5, 1932 in Eger , Bohemia ) is a German artist, deaf educator and genealogist .

Life

Erhard Werndl von Lehenstein completed an apprenticeship as a painter in Bitterfeld after his expulsion in 1946 . From 1951 to 1955 he studied at the HGB Leipzig in the free graphics class with Elisabeth Voigt , Wolfgang Mattheuer , Werner Tübke and others. From 1955 to 1957 he studied at the University of Leipzig in the philosophical faculty, department of art education. After a school internship from 1960 to 1962, he specialized by studying at the Humboldt University in Berlin in the philosophical faculty, department of special education. For 35 years he was a deaf and subject teacher for art education at the Samuel Heinicke School for the hearing impaired and at the adult education center in Leipzig. Here he created with his deaf students a. a. large murals. From 1992 he worked as a freelance painter and graphic artist.
