Erich Angermann (association official)

Erich Angermann (born January 21, 1911 in Lichtenberg , Lausitz , † November 2, 1968 ) was a German party functionary ( KPD , SED ). He was first secretary of the central board of the Association of Allotment Gardeners, Settlers and Small Animal Breeders (VKSK) in the GDR.

Life

Angermann was born into a working-class family, attended elementary and vocational school and completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter . He then worked in this profession. Unfit for work due to a traffic accident in 1935, he worked as a severely disabled person in a Dresden cloth factory from 1937 to 1945.

In 1925 he joined the German Building Trade Association , in 1926 the Red Front Fighters Association and the Workers' Gymnastics and Sports Association . In 1929 he became a member of the KPD.

After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists in 1933, he did illegal work and was temporarily imprisoned.

After the end of the Second World War, from 1945 to 1948 he was head of the KPD and SED in Großröhrsdorf . In 1948/49 he worked as secretary of the FDGB district committee Kamenz . From 1949 to 1952 he was cadre manager or operations manager in the Association of Nationally Owned Collection and Acquisition Companies of the Kamenz District, then from 1952 to 1959 cadre manager at VEB Granitwerke Häslich / Bischheim-Gersdorf and at times a member of the SED district management in Kamenz. In 1959 he was one of the founders of the VKSK and was first secretary of its central board from 1959 until his death in 1968.

Honors

The central board of the VKSK donated the Erich Angermann plaque after his death.
