Pedro Luiz Stringhini

Pedro Luiz Stringhini (born August 17, 1953 in Laranjal Paulista , State of São Paulo , Brazil ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Mogi das Cruzes .

Life

The Archbishop of São Paulo , Cardinal Paulo Evaristo Arns OFM , ordained him on August 9, 1980 as a priest .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Ita and auxiliary bishop in São Paulo on January 3, 2001 . The Archbishop of São Paulo, Cláudio Cardinal Hummes OFM, donated him episcopal ordination on March 10th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Paulo Evaristo Cardinal Arns OFM, Archbishop Emeritus of São Paulo, Luciano Pedro Mendes de Almeida SJ , Archbishop of Mariana , and Lino Vombömmel OFM, Bishop of Santarém . His motto In verbo autem tuo (“At your word”) comes from the Gospel of Luke ( Lk 5.5  EU ).

On December 30th, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Franca . The ceremonial inauguration ( enthronement ) took place on February 21, 2010. On September 19, 2012 he was appointed Bishop of Mogi das Cruzes. The inauguration followed on November 24 of the same year.
