Erich Führer

Erich Führer (born September 20, 1901 in Berlin ; † December 4, 1972 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Erich Führer attended an elementary school and did an apprenticeship as a typesetter . In 1921 he joined the Association of German Book Printers and in 1924 the SPD. He was drafted by the Wehrmacht in 1939 and became a prisoner of war in 1945 .

After the Second World War , Führer returned to Berlin in 1947 and joined the Independent Trade Union Opposition (UGO) a year later . He became district chairman of the IG Druck und Papier Berlin. In the Berlin election in 1958 , he was elected to the District Assembly (BVV) in the Wedding district. In the next election in 1963 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives. After this legislative period , he was re-elected to BVV Wedding in 1967.
