Erich Furrer (born June 6, 1964 in Vienna ) is a Swiss - Austrian cabaret artist , actor , author and director .

Live and act

Born in Vienna, Erich Furrer came to Switzerland at the age of five and graduated from the University of Music and Theater in Bern from 1990 to 1994 . He was a member of the comedy duo "Die Mammutjäger" . Furrer received the cabaret award De goldig Biberflade (Appenzeller Cabaret Days ) and Die Krönung ( Casinotheater Winterthur ). As the artistic director of the “Netzwerkbühne” he has written, staged, produced and played his own new Shakespeare poems, plays and musicals since 2002 . As an actor he worked in theater productions in Switzerland and Austria, worked in several TV and feature films and is active as a presenter and speaker for advertising, radio and television. In 2012 he staged the solo comedy play Cavewoman (based on “defending the cavewoman” by South African author Emma Peirson) at the Akzent Theater in Vienna with actress and cabaret artist Gabriela Benesch , with whom he also performed the comedy duo “Benesch & Furrer “ Founded. Their first joint comedy stage show "Help, we are enlightened" has been on tour since 2014.
