Erich Heinemann (writer)
Erich Heinemann ( pseudonym : Matthias Mann , born January 23, 1929 in Hildesheim , † July 26, 2002 in Hanover ) was a German administrative employee , writer and Karl May researcher .
Life
Erich Heinemann grew up in Hildesheim . After attending elementary school from 1935 to 1943 , he was a student at a municipal business school until the end of 1944 . After the school was closed due to the war, Heinmann worked as a member of the Reich Labor Service in the armaments industry and at the end of the Second World War he became a prisoner of war , from which he returned to Hildesheim in the summer of 1945. From the end of 1945 he completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale merchant in his hometown , which he completed in 1951 with a commercial assistant letter. Heinemann joined the administrative service of the AOK Hildesheim ; In 1955 he rose to the middle and 1957 to the higher service. When he retired in 1987 he was a director of the health insurance company.
Erich Heinemann, who started writing early, was involved in the founding of the literary magazine " Die Horen " in 1955 with his friend Kurt Morawietz ; In 1969 Heinemann was one of the founders of the Karl May Society , of which he was later a member of the board.
Erich Heinemann published in the fifties to seventies, a series of children's books from the genre of adventure novel which are heavily Karl May were influenced works. In the eighties , the two memory books based on diary entries "Da came a proud rider" and "Years between yesterday and tomorrow" were published, followed by further works on the history of Hildesheim . In addition, Heinemann wrote radio plays about Karl May and the North American Indians . Heinemann wrote numerous contributions to the yearbook of the Karl May Society and was also the editor of works by the authors Balduin Möllhausen and Karl May .
