Erich Jordan

Erich Jordan (born June 7, 1912 in Kassel ; † August 31, 1997 ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Erich Jordan obtained his secondary school leaving certificate and began an administrative apprenticeship at the LVA Hessen-Nassau on April 1, 1929 . He then worked as an administrative clerk until May 1933. After the National Socialists came to power , he was dismissed for political reasons . In 1935 he became an administrative clerk at the United Guild Health Insurance Fund (VIK) Kassel. After serving in the war and being a prisoner of war , Jordan became managing director of VIK Kassel from 1946 to 1954. From April 1, 1954 to 1965, he was deputy managing director of the AOK Kassel.

politics

Erich Jordan was a member of the SPD and the Central Association of Employees even before 1933. From November 1, 1956 to March 4, 1965 he was a city councilor in Kassel, and from March 15, 1965 to June 30, 1971 he was a full-time city councilor there.

From December 1, 1962 to November 30, 1966 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament.

Other offices

Erich Jordan was chairman of the OTV trade union in Kassel and speaker at the federal schools of the DGB and at the administrative seminar in Kassel. In 1974 he became head of the local court.
