from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Erich Kormannshaus (* in Barmen ) was a German football referee .

Career

Kormannshaus comes from what is now Wuppertal and later moved to Löhne in Westphalia . He whistled first for BV Bad Oeynhausen and later for FC Gohfeld . In the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, Kormannshaus directed games of the then first-class Gauliga Westfalen and Oberliga West , including several times the so-called Revierderby between Borussia Dortmund and FC Schalke 04 . In addition, Kormannshaus was used five times in games of the Tschammer Cup , the forerunner of today's DFB Cup . After the end of the Second World War , Kormannshaus led four final round games for the German championship. The highlight was the final of the German championship in 1950 between VfB Stuttgart and Kickers Offenbach . Curiously, Kormannshaus was introduced by the stadium announcer as a referee from Bad Oeynhausen . A year later, Kormannshaus was still in charge of the West German Cup final between Sportfreunde Wanne-Eickel and Hombrucher FV 09 .
