Erich Marks (born June 22, 1954 in Bielefeld ) is a German educator, managing director of the German Prevention Day .

Life

After graduating from high school, Erich Marks studied education, psychology and philosophy at Bielefeld University between 1973 and 1980 . From 1980 to 1983 he was the founding managing director of Brücke Köln eV and from 1983 to 2001 federal managing director of the DBH (Federal Association for Social Work, Criminal Law and Criminal Policy) in Bonn. In 2001/2002 he was the founding managing director of the German Forum for Crime Prevention Foundation (DFK). He has been managing director and board member of DVS and its German Prevention Days gGmbH for many years . From 2002 to 2019 Erich Marks was Managing Director of the Lower Saxony State Prevention Council in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice .
