Erich Friedrich Raff (born April 18, 1953 in Fürstenfeldbruck ) is a German politician ( CSU ) and Lord Mayor of Fürstenfeldbruck since 2017 .

After completing secondary school in 1971, Raff trained as a police officer, which he completed in 1974. In 1979 he graduated from high school and studied for the higher police service until 1984. He completed his studies with a degree in administrative management. From 1974 until his retirement in 2013 he worked in the police service, first in the traffic police, then in a managerial position in the criminal police.

Raff has been a member of Fürstenfeldbruck's city council since 1996. From 1996 to 2008 he was a traffic officer and from 2008 to 2017 a sports officer. In 2014 he became second mayor. As Lord Mayor Klaus Pleil (Brucker Bürgerervereinigung, BBV) suffered a heart attack in the summer of 2015, from which he recovered only slowly, Raff ran the business. At the beginning of 2017 the city council dismissed Pleil, so that an early new election was due. Six candidates ran for the election on May 7, 2017. Raff received the most votes as the CSU candidate with 43.3%. Since he had missed an absolute majority, he had to play against Martin Runge , who was responsible for BBV and Greenshad received 30% in the first ballot, in the runoff election on May 21. This he won with a turnout of 41.2% with 52.0% of the votes.

Raff has been a member of the handball department of TuS Fürstenfeldbruck since 1969 . There he has been a referee since 1981, from 1991 to 1999 he headed the handball department and from 1991 to 2014 he was the manager of the first men's team.
