Erich Schmid (Author)

Erich Schmid (born March 6, 1947 in Frauenfeld ; entitled to live in Amlikon-Bissegg ) is a Swiss journalist , author , screenwriter and film director .

Life

At the age of 15, Erich Schmid completed an apprenticeship in Frauenfeld and Winterthur until 1965 . After completing his second education in Zurich in 1974, he worked as a journalist . From 1976 to 1986 he was a reporter for the Tages-Anzeiger , then until 1988 the domestic editor of the weekly newspaper WoZ in Zurich. In 1987/1988 he wrote the first screenplay with Richard Dindo . Since then he has mainly been a filmmaker. Today he lives and works in Max Bill's house and studio in Zumikon , with his widow, the art historian Angela Thomas , he is married.
