Erich Tromayer

Erich Tromayer (born October 10, 1948 in Mödling ) is an Austrian goldsmith , art dealer and expert .

Life

After attending secondary school in Mödling in 1964, Erich Tromayer completed an apprenticeship as a goldsmith and did his military service . He then joined the Vienna company Omega , where he headed the jewelry and jewelery department. In 1974 he opened an antique shop in Mödling. In 1978 he specialized in trading antique furniture for the American market in a shop in Vienna's fourth district. In 1979 he moved to Habsburgergasse and in 1980 to Stallburggasse. In 1988 he set up an art shop in Vienna's Dorotheergasse, where he mainly offered paintings from mood impressionism and the 1950s.

Tromayer works as a “sworn and court-certified expert” for Austrian painting from the 19th and 20th centuries and Alpine folk art from the 18th to the beginning of the 20th century. Since 2019 he has appeared in the ServusTV series Bares for Rares Austria as an expert for the valuation of antiques and works of art.

Erich Tromayer is married to Inge Tromayer. The connection has two children, born in 1978 and 1986. Tromayer lives in Hinterbrühl .
