Erich Wernicke (teacher)

Erich Wernicke (born October 14, 1877 in Altenplathow , Jerichow II district ; † September 10, 1953 in Walsrode ) was a German high school teacher.

Life

Wernicke attended high school in Brandenburg an der Havel . He studied mathematics and natural sciences at the Royal University of Greifswald . After the state examination in Greifswald, he served from April 1, 1900 as a one-year volunteer with the 2nd Kurhessian Infantry Regiment No. 82 in Göttingen. He completed the seminar year at the Oberrealschule in Danzig and from October 1, 1904 the trial year in Thorn . On October 1, 1905, he came from Thorn as a senior teacher at the Marienwerder grammar school . After seven years he became director of the municipal lyceum, later the Hermann Balk School, in Marienwerder at Easter 1913 . His subjects were mathematics and physics . Treatises by him appeared in the Marienwerder school programs in 1907 and 1908. From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War, most recently as captain of the reserve. He died in Walsrode at the age of 76.
