Erik Huusko (born August 24, 1971 in Upplands Väsby ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player who played for Djurgårdens IF and HV 71 Jönköping in the Elitserien during his active time from 1987 to 1999 . His twin brother, Anders, was also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Erik Huusko began his career as a hockey player with the Arlanda Wings , with whose professional team he rose from the then third-rate Division 2 to the second-rate Division 1 in the 1989/90 season. In this the attacker spent a season before he was committed by Djurgårdens IF from the Elitserien . With this he lost to Malmö IF in the 1992 playoff final . After four years, the left shooter left Djurgårdens IF in 1996 and signed with their league rivals HV 71 Jönköping . At HV 71 he spent another three seasons in the Elitserien before he ended his career at the age of 28 following the 1998/99 season.

International

For Sweden Huusko took part in the Junior World Championship in 1991 and the World Championship in 1995 .
