Erik Madigan Heck

Erik Madigan Heck (born September 9, 1983 in Excelsior , Minnesota ) is an American photographer who became known for his fashion photography.

Life

Heck began taking photos when he was still at school, after being introduced to art in the galleries and museums of neighboring Minneapolis , Minnesota through his parents as a child . In 2002, as a senior in high school , he received a gold medal for his photographic work from the US Alliance for Young Artists & Writers as part of the Scholastic Art Awards.

Heck is co-founder and editor of the quarterly photo magazine Nomenus Quarterly and a correspondent for A Magazine . In 2012 he was responsible for the Art of Fashion photo campaign for the Neiman Marcus department store chain from Dallas , Texas . In the same year he photographed fashion creations for the Greek , in London live and work fashion designer Mary Katrantzou and shot the film The End of the Belgian fashion designer Ann Demeulemeester .
