Hendrik Jan "Erik" Regtop (born February 16, 1968 in Schoonebeek ) is a former Dutch football player and current coach .

Career

Erik Regtop played from 1985 to 1996 as a striker in various clubs in the Dutch league ( Ajax Amsterdam , Telstar , FC Groningen , SC Heerenveen ) before moving to his first international position as a player at Bradford City . After years in France with OGC Nice and in Switzerland with FC St. Gallen , he moved to SC Austria Lustenau in Austria. Within Austria he still played at Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz and SCR Altach . In 2005 he ended his professional career and moved to Switzerland to the amateur club FC Altstätten and in 2007 to FC Montlingen, where he worked as a player-coach. From the beginning of the 2010/11 season until September 27, 2014, he was the coach of SC Brühl St. Gallen . Erik Regtop has been the forward coach at FC Aarau since April 2015 . In his football career he played 387 games in which he scored 127 goals. He has been a coach at FC Rot-Weiß Rankweil since the 2015/16 Vorarlberg League season .

Erik Regtop also organizes soccer camps for young soccer players between the ages of seven and 15.
