Erik Olof Alfred Rylander (born September 3, 1905 in Falun ; † September 9, 1976 there ) was a Swedish ski jumper .

Career

Rylander started for Norway at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1930 . With two jumps of 48 meters, he ended up tied with Norwegian Olav Ulland in fifth place. A year later at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberhof in 1931 , he jumped to 20th place with 38.5 and 50 meters.

At the following Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid in 1932 , he jumped from the normal hill to a very good tenth place.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sollefteå in 1934 , he jumped 42 and 53.5 meters and ended up in 26th place. It was his last international tournament.

Rylander remained loyal to skiing. On March 5, 1944, he made the first jump on the newly built Rättviksbacken in Rättvik .
