Erika Furlani (born January 2, 1996 in Marino ) is an Italian high jumper .

Athletic career

Erika Furlani gained her first experience at an international championship at the 2013 World Youth Championships in Donetsk , where she won the silver medal with a height of 1.82 m. In 2014 she qualified for the Junior World Championships in Eugene , where she finished seventh with a skipped 1.85 m. At the European team championship in Braunschweig , she reached ninth place. In 2015 she took part in the European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna , Sweden , where she finished in ninth place with 1.75 m, which was disappointing for her.

In 2016 she qualified for the European Championships in Amsterdam , where she was eliminated from the qualification with a height of 1.85 m. In 2017 she took part in the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade , where she was also eliminated from the qualification. At the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz , she won the bronze medal with 1.86 m. In addition, she qualified for the first time for the World Championships in London , where she was eliminated with 1.80 m in the qualification .

In 2017 she became Italian champion.
