Erkan Ültanır (born November 13, 1965 in Istanbul ) is a former Turkish football player and today's coach.
Career
Player career
Erkan Ültanır played in the youth team of Galatasaray Istanbul until 1985 . In the summer of 1985 he was appointed to the first team and played eleven league games. In the following season there were ten league games, he also won the Turkish championship. This was followed by one-year engagements at Karşıyaka SK and Bursaspor .
For the 1989/90 season, the striker went to Malatyaspor . At the end of the season Ültanır rose with Malatyaspor in the 2nd division . The rise in the 1990/91 season did not succeed and Ültanır moved to Kasımpaşa Istanbul in October 1991 . Two months later it was awarded to İstanbulspor . With İstanbulspor he was one of the third division champions of the 1991/92 season. In the summer of 1992 İstanbulspor signed him and loaned him to Küçükçekmecespor in November .
The striker spent the last two seasons of his career at Sivasspor and Siirtspor .
Coaching career
Erkan Ültanır was employed as a youth coach at Galatasaray from 2004 to 2008. During the 2008/09 season he was assistant coach of İlyas Tüfekçi at Beylerbeyi SK . In 2015 he returned to Galatasaray Istanbul Youth Academy and worked there until May 31, 2016.
