The Erlanger Spur is a rock spur in Queen Elizabeth Land in West Antarctica . In the Forrestal Range of the Pensacola Mountains , it forms the southwestern extension of the Lexington Table . It rises south of the Abele Spur and extends west to the Blount Nunatak .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him at the suggestion of the US geologist Arthur B. Ford . It is named after George L. Erlanger, electronics specialist at Geophysical Survey Systems Inc. from Nashua , New Hampshire , who worked from 1973 to 1974 on the measurements of the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) of the United States Army Corps of Engineers in the Pensacola Mountains was involved.
