Ermonela Jaho
Ermonela Jaho (born 1974 ) is an Albanian opera singer (soprano).
Life
Ermonela Jaho's parents moved to Tirana when she was two years old. At the age of seventeen she began studying at the conservatory there . In 1993 she was invited to Mantua by Katia Ricciarelli and stayed in Italy. She attended the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome . Her first significant engagement was Mimi in La Bohème at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna . She moved to Bologna in 2000. Since 2003 she has worked in the USA, where she is married to Ervin Stafa and lives in Long Island , and in Italy.
Ermonela Jaho has engagements at the major opera houses in Europe and America and sings the Italian and French opera literature.
