Ernest Bertrand Boland
Ernest Bertrand Boland OP (born July 10, 1925 in Providence , United States ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and Bishop Emeritus of Multan .
Life
Ernest Bertrand Boland joined the religious order of the Dominicans at and received on 9 June 1955, the priestly ordination .
Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Multan on May 17, 1966. The Bishop of Providence , Russell Joseph McVinney , ordained him episcopal on July 25 of that year ; Co-consecrators were Bernard Matthew Kelly , Auxiliary Bishop in Providence, and Fulton John Sheen , Auxiliary Bishop in New York . On October 20, 1984, he resigned from his position.
