Patras Yusaf

Patras Yusaf (born July 29, 1936 in Francis Abad , Gujranwala , Pakistan , † December 29, 1998 in Multan , Punjab ) was Bishop of Multan .

Life

Patras Yusaf studied Philosophy and Catholic Theology at Christ the King Seminary in Karachi . He received on 29 December 1965, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

In 1970 Yusaf became vicar general of the Lyallpur diocese . It was in 1976 Rome in specialized moral theology doctorate . Yusaf then taught at Christ the King Seminary in Karachi.

On December 19, 1981 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Sinnuara and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Multan. The bishop emeritus of Lyallpur, Francesco Benedetto Cialeo OP , donated him episcopal ordination on February 19, 1982 in the Cathedral of the Resurrection in Multan ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Multan, Ernest Bertrand Boland OP, and the Bishop of Lyallpur, Paolo Vieri Andreotti OP.

On October 20, 1984, John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Multan.
