Ernst Bednara

Ernst Ottomar Ignatz Bednara (born October 26, 1881 in Orzegow , district of Beuthen , † September 18, 1956 in Münster ) was a German teacher and local researcher.

Career

Ernst Bedanara was born in 1881 as the son of the rector Ignaz Bednara and his wife Hedwig geb. Rakowsky born. He passed the Abitur at the Gymnasium in Beuthen and then studied philology at the University of Breslau . In 1905 he graduated with a doctorate . He worked as a teacher in Glogau , Leobschütz and Oppeln . From 1908 to 1945 he taught as a teacher in Leobschütz. After the Second World War he came to Westphalia and was a teacher in Greven and Münster.

In addition to his professional activity, he wrote several articles on Silesian history and translated into German the first four books of the main work of the Roman historian Titus Livius ' Ab urbo condita libri .

On June 1, 1908, he married Hedwig Marie Helene Blochel, daughter of the local engineer Ignaz Blochel and his wife Marie, born in Königshütte . Gardener.
