Ernst Buchmüller

Ernst Buchmüller (born January 11, 1952 ) is a Swiss journalist and moderator .

Professional career

Ernst Buchmüller studied German , English and journalism at the University of Zurich from 1975 to 1981 . Since 1982 he has worked as a journalist and presenter for the Swiss radio station DRS 3 , since 1990 as host of the radio talk show Focus .

Buchmüller has also been working for Swiss television since 1987 , where he is in charge of various cultural programs as a presenter and editor. As an author and director, he created various documentaries for Swiss television and 3sat , in particular about Swiss writers. Buchmüller was also responsible for the Max Frisch retrospective now: max frisch .

Awards

For his Friedrich Dürrenmatt retrospective on 3sat, Ernst Buchmüller was awarded the Silver Cable and the Culture Prize of the Swiss Bank Corporation (today: UBS ). In 2008, Buchmüller received the RGB Prize from the Bern Foundation for Radio and Television for his documentary Do you speak Swiss .
