Ernst Diehl (soccer player)

Ernst Diehl (born March 28, 1949 in Etschberg ) is a former German soccer player who played 314 games in the Bundesliga from 1967 to 1978 as a player for 1. FC Kaiserslautern and scored 18 goals. He mostly played as a stopper .

Bundesliga

The defensive player, who came to the youth division of the Palatinate Bundesliga club from TSV Etschberg in 1965, played in the Bundesliga exclusively for 1. FC Kaiserslautern . On November 4, 1967, he made his debut in the home game against MSV Duisburg, which 1. FCK lost with the defensive formation Wolfgang Schnarr (goalkeeper), Herward Koppenhöfer , Dietmar Schwager , Diehl (Vorstopper) and Uwe Klimaschefski with 0-1.
