Ernst Drewes

Ernst Georg Conrad Johannes Drewes (born March 21, 1903 in Cadenberge , † April 28, 1991 in Braunschweig ) was a German administrative officer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a pastor , Drewes studied theology and philosophy after visiting the Martino-Katharineum Braunschweig , then law in Erlangen , Göttingen and Munich . During his studies he became a member of the Bubenreuth fraternity in 1920 . After completing his theology studies in 1923, he passed his first state examination in law in 1925 . He completed the following legal clerkship in 1930. In 1933 he became a member of the NSDAP ( membership number 1.782.037). In 1935 he was Councilor in the Ministry of the Interior of Prussia and the empire. From 1935 to 1936 he was district administrator in Eisleben , then until 1940 district administrator of the Mansfelder Seekreis , and then until 1945 of the Rotenburg (Wümme) district . During this time he was also responsible in the Gifhorn district. In 1949 he became Verwaltungsgerichtsrat in Gifhorn and went in 1951 to the Government in Lüneburg , where he in 1952 upper government was. In 1954 he became government director in the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior and in 1955 government vice-president of the Braunschweig administrative council . In 1968 he retired. In 1968 he received the Cross of Merit, 1st Class .
