Ernst Fink (politician, 1942)

Ernst Fink (born March 23, 1942 in Riegersburg ) is an Austrian tax clerk in peace and a former politician ( ÖVP ). Fink was a member of the National Council from 1986 to 2002 .

education and profession

Ernst Fink grew up with two brothers and a sister in Riegersburg as the son of a doctor. He attended elementary school and was subsequently sent to Fürstenfeld to attend middle school by his parents . Attending the secondary school for non-residents at that time was associated with living in the home, but Fink kept breaking out of the home and was expelled from the home. Fink attended the grammar school in Graz for two years and then the grammar school again in Fürstenfeld. He ended his school career with the completion of the external Matura in 1965.

Fink subsequently embarked on a career as a tax officer and started his career in 1965 as a tax auditor at the Feldbach tax office . Fink later rose to head the assessment control center of the Feldbach tax office.

politics

Fink started his political career as a staff representative at the tax office in Feldbach, and subsequently became an ÖAAB organizer and ÖAAB city group chairman. He rose to the position of ÖVP district party chairman and was a local councilor in Feldbach from 1980 to 1985. On October 1, 1986, Fink entered the National Council as a representative of the ÖVP. As a member of parliament, he prevented the road traffic tax from being implemented, founded the Styrian job offensive and laid the foundation for the Styrassic Park in Bad Gleichenberg . Fink retired as a tax officer in 2002 after undergoing heart surgery in 1998. As a result, he no longer ran for parliament in the 2002 National Council election. Fink left the National Council on December 19, 2002 and gave up all functions except for the function of ÖVP district chairman. In June 2004, Fink resigned from this position after 15 years.

Private

Fink has been married since 1964 and has two sons and two daughters.
