Ernst Hahnrieder

Ernst August Hahnrieder (born August 25, 1811 at Gut Ossa near Nikolaiken , Sensburg district , East Prussia ; † April 30, 1895 in Meseritz , district town in the province of Posen ) was a German teacher .

Life

Hahnrieder's father was a landowner in Masuria and a member of the Prussian National Assembly . Ernst Hahnrieder attended the city school in Rhine near Sensburg and the grammar school in Rastenburg . After graduating from high school, he studied mathematics and natural sciences at the Albertus University in Königsberg . In the summer semester of 1832 he became a member of the Corps Masovia . After graduating, he was a tutor at Goldap . In 1838 he passed the Pro facultate docendi exam in Königsberg (Prussia) . After the probationary year at the high school in Rastenburg, he went to Königsberg and was an assistant teacher at the high school and at the old town high school . At Easter 1843 he switched to secondary school in Meseritz, which became a grammar school in 1868. Hahnrieder became a senior teacher and high school professor . After 50 years of service, he retired in 1888.
