Ernst Hirschberg

Ernst Hirschberg (born March 8, 1859 in Königsberg , † June 22, 1906 in Berlin ) was a German statistician . Hirschberg did a great job researching social grievances in the empire .

Life

Ernst Eliaser Hirschberg was born on March 8, 1859 in Königsberg as the son of the merchant Moritz Hirschberg and his wife Bertha, born. Theodor was born and was of Jewish faith.

Ernst Hirschberg attended high school in Koenigsberg, and then studied at the University cameralistics and law . On February 13, 1882 , he defended his inaugural dissertation with the title "Workers' compulsory insurance with special consideration of accident insurance" at the Philosophical Faculty of the Albertus University in Königsberg . Around 1892 or 1894 he became assistant director in the statistical office of the city of Berlin. From 1898 to 1906 he was head of the statistical office in Charlottenburg. In 1902 Ernst Hirschberg became deputy director and finally in 1903 director of the statistical office of the city of Berlin. He was born with Margarete. Müller married and died on June 22, 1906 in his apartment in Charlottenburg .

Services

In 1904 Ernst Hirschberg was a member of the main committee of the German Association for Poor Care and Charity .
