Ernst Hoffmann (architect)
Ernst Hoffmann (born October 14, 1949 in Wels in Upper Austria ) is an Austrian architect .
After graduating from the structural engineering department at HTL Mödling , he studied architecture at the Technical University of Vienna . Since 1979 he has had his own studio in Vienna with around 50 employees who work internationally.
In addition to working in his office, he is also a member of various professional associations for architects.
He has participated in numerous international competitions. Ernst Hoffmann became known as the winner of the competition for the Landhausviertel in St. Pölten against architects like Wilhelm Holzbauer . He designed both the country house itself and the sound tower .
But numerous other buildings are also based on his ideas and plans. Numerous office complexes were realized, such as the central building of STRABAG but also the carpet museum in Azerbaijan . The two DC Towers and Vienna Central Station are currently under construction .
In 2000 he was awarded the title of professor .
In addition to the architecture office, he has been running a civil engineering office since 2002 .
