Ernst Josef Pöppl

Ernst Josef Pöppl (born June 29, 1932 in Tegernsee , Miesbach district ) is a German politician ( CSU ).

Life

Pöppl attended elementary school and completed a craft apprenticeship from 1947 to 1949. Professionally, he initially worked as a lathe operator, technical draftsman and part designer. From 1951 to 1955 he studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg . He followed this with a distance learning course (mechanical engineering). In 1959 he joined the administration of the government of Upper Bavaria as an employee . He worked there until 1985 and was responsible for rehabilitation and facilities for the disabled.

Pöppl joined the CSU in 1971 and was elected to the board of the CSU district of Upper Bavaria. From 1984 he was a district council member in the Dachau district .

Pöppl moved up on April 15, 1985 via the CSU state list for the resigned MP Walter Althammer in the German Bundestag . He was a member until the end of the 1987 electoral term.
