Ernst Kaller

Ernst Kaller (born March 27, 1898 in Beuthen , † November 1, 1961 in Essen ) was a German organist and university professor .

Kaller studied with Karl Straube in Leipzig from 1922 to 1926 . This was followed by studying musicology in Freiburg im Breisgau . From 1927 to 1934 he taught at the municipal music school in Freiburg i. Br. As head of the organ class. In 1934 he was appointed head of the Catholic Church Music department at the Folkwang School in Essen . In 1948 he was appointed professor .
