Ernst Keitel

Ernst Keitel (born October 14, 1939 in Brettheim ; † April 29, 2014 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After finishing high school in Crailsheim , Ernst Keitel completed a two-year internship as a bricklayer and carpenter. He then studied civil engineering at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences until 1965 and then worked for four years as a structural engineer in an engineering office. In 1969 he started his own business as a structural engineer. Keitel was married and had two children.

politics

Keitel joined the CDU in 1975. Since 1980 he was a member of the municipal council of Rot am See and since 1999 honorary first mayor deputy. From 1980 to 1992 and again since 2004 he was a member of the district council of the Schwäbisch Hall district . In 1984 he became a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , of which he was a member until 2001. He represented constituency 22 ( Schwäbisch Hall ) and was chairman of the working group for financial policy in the CDU parliamentary group.

Honors

In 2001, Keitel was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class .
