Ernst Leuninger (politician)

Ernst Leuninger (born May 5, 1914 in Mengerskirchen ; † February 19, 1993 ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU , SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Ernst Leuninger did an apprenticeship as a typesetter after primary school from 1930 to 1934. From 1933 to 1936 he made the Abitur at evening school and then studied at the arts and crafts school. From 1939 to 1945 he did military service . After the war he was a union member and until 1964 chairman of the DGB in Hessen.

politics

Ernst Leuninger was one of the founders of the CDU Hessen after the war . On May 19, 1957, he resigned from the CDU and became a member of the SPD. For this he was from December 1, 1958 to November 30, 1970 a member of the Hessian state parliament. From March 30, 1960 to November 30, 1966 he was deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. In 1959, 1964 and 1969 he was a member of the Federal Assembly .

Other offices

Ernst Leuninger was a member of the Broadcasting Council of the Hessian Broadcasting Corporation from 1961 to 1964 .
