Ernst Loesch

Ernst Loesch (born April 28, 1860 in Abtswind , † August 14, 1946 in Dinkelsbühl ) was a German painter and writer .

Born the son of the pastor Ferdinand August Lösch (1820-1881), studied Ernst Loesch after attending high school in Nuremberg jurisprudence , later Protestant theology in Erlangen and Leipzig . During his studies in 1879 he became a member of the Bubenreuther fraternity . In 1882 he embarked on a career as an artist and went to the art academy in Karlsruhe, where he was a student of Gustav Schönleber . From 1887 to 1912 he was in Klausen (South Tyrol) every year for studies .

In particular, he created pencil drawings of landscapes and architecture, watercolors and oil paintings . Some of his works are in the Städtisches Museum in Nuremberg and in the Ferdinandeum in Innsbruck . In 1919 he designed the Bubenreuth book of honor.

He was also active as a writer.
