Ernst Petzoldt

Friedrich Ernst Petzoldt (born December 15, 1831 in Hohenstein ; † September 2, 1894 in Dresden ) was a German lawyer, Privy Councilor, ministerial and departmental director in the Saxon Ministry of Culture and Public Education . Here he represented the Technical University of Dresden as a speaker for almost twenty years .

Life

Petzoldt was born in the city of Hohenstein. After attending school, he studied law and graduated as Dr. jur. In the Saxon administration he rose to the position of department director in the Ministry of Culture in Dresden. In this capacity he was appointed to the Privy Council. He died at the age of 63 in Dresden and was buried on September 5, 1894 at the Johannisfriedhof in Tolkewitz in the presence of the rector and the professors' group of the Dresden University of Technology. Most recently, Friedrich Ernst Petzoldt lived in Dresden's Südvorstadt at Ostbahnstraße 8.
