Shkelqim Demhasaj (born April 19, 1996 in Schaffhausen ) is a Kosovar - Swiss football player who is under contract with Grasshopper Club Zurich in the Challenge League .

Career

Shkelqim Demhasaj spent his youth at FC Schaffhausen. In the summer of 2013 he made the leap into the first team of FC Schaffhausen in the Challenge League . He scored 17 goals in the 2016/17 season .

On June 22, 2017 Demhasaj moved to FC Luzern in the Swiss Super League , where he signed a contract until the end of June 2020. He made his debut in the Europa League on July 20, 2017 against NK Osijek . Demhasaj scored his first championship goal in the Super League on August 6, 2017 in a 2-2 home game against Grasshopper Club Zurich .

On July 2, 2020 it was announced that Demhasaj would join the Grasshopper Club Zurich , where he signed a contract until the end of June 2023.

National team

Until 2018 Demhasaj was a member of the Swiss U-21 national team .

In November 2018, Demhasaj was appointed to the squad of the Kosovar national team for the first time for the games in the UEFA Nations League . He made his debut against Malta on November 17, 2018 , when he came on for Vedat Muriqi in the 83rd minute .
