Ernst Plattner

Ernst Plattner (born November 1, 1880 in Neumarkt (South Tyrol) ; † July 31, 1966 in Mannheim ) was a German architect .

Life

As a child he came to Mannheim, where he went to school and also spent most of his life. The family's economic resources were scarce: he had to break off his studies at the Technical University of Karlsruhe early. He then worked as a trainee in the Mannheim architecture office Köchler und Karch and then with the Mannheim architect Rudolf Tillessen . From 1906 to 1919 he ran a joint office with Josef Huge . They were also represented at the 1909 architecture exhibition in Mannheim. Ernst Plattner designed the poster and catalog for the exhibition.
