Ernst Riediger

Ernst Riediger (* July 15, 1901 in Streit , today Poland ; † February 3, 1966 in Mönchröden , today Rödental ) was a German politician of the GB / BHE , later the GDP .

Riediger trained at the preparatory institute in Striegau and at the Protestant teacher training college in Liegnitz, and worked for four years as a teacher and educator at the Spöhrer Higher Commercial School in Calw, Württemberg . From 1925 to 1930 he was in the Prussian elementary school service in his homeland, then until 1938 as a middle school teacher in Oels near Breslau , followed by a brief teaching position at the Army College of Neisse. He was a soldier in World War II ; in 1944 he was wounded on an operation. After the end of the war he moved to Lower Franconia , where he became the main teacher and headmaster of the Mönchröden elementary school in September 1945 . From 1947 on he was active in the work of expellees, so he was district chairman and deputy district chairman of the GB / BHE. From 1950 to 1962 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament , from 1958 he held the office of second Vice President of the State Parliament. On January 16, 1961 he was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit.
